Culture 2010
Mangere College is a proudly multi-cultural school. We are enriched by the cultural diversity of our students and staff. All cultures are represented in the school and acknowledged in a variety of ways.
We have been involved in the Secondary Schools Cultural Festival (Polyfest) since it began In 1976. We have also hosted the festival in 1977, 1999 and 2000.
The Cultural groups also often represent the school at special functions.
Mangere College also participate in Maori, Samoan, Cook Island, Tongan and Niuean Speech Competitions.

Sports 2009
Students have ample opportunity to participate in a wide range of sporting activities. Many of our students have real sporting success at local and national levels.
Some of the sports offered are:
Rugby, Rugby League, Snooker, Netball, Athletics, Soccer, Kilikiti, Basketball, Waka Ama, Volleyball, and more. The school gives students access to large playing fields, school pool, courts, a gym and weight room.
