Support the Real XV

Mangere College’s First XV is going from strength to strength. New coaches in 2020 have established a strong culture of brotherhood bonds and pride amongst our rugby boys and our wider school community. Before the disruption of the season, the team was heading for a top-two finish and possible promotion back to Auckland’s 1B grade.

The team was featured this year on the Pacific Brothers show screened at prime time on Sky Sports One. The programme followed the boys in their journey through the disrupted 2020 season and gained a strong following each week.

We are looking for support for the team as they prepare for the 2021 season and beyond. Our aim is to create a positive and supportive environment for the team to allow them to perform on the field and take the lessons they learn into their lives. Our 2020 captain has been selected as a student leader in 2021 and the team will provide strong role models for other students in the school.
