Careers

In the Careers Department, we have an amazing team which consists of Ms Alfie Lafoou Lusa (Head of Careers & Pathways), Mrs Louise Reade (Gateway Coordinator) and Ms Nisi Fotofili (Careers Administrator).

We would like to welcome you to our Careers Department. We are located behind T block (Math's department).

Our Careers department is a welcoming space for our students to discuss future pathways by finding employment in the community, organising driver's licenses, academic studies and providing additional support to further you in your chosen field. 

We encourage students to be independent and take initiative of their learning!

MCPA (Mangere College Pathways Academy)

We have rebranded Trades Academy to MCPA and officially launched in 2023. MCPA is designed to assist Year 13 students that are interested in being part of the Trades. We have a limited set of disciplines that range from construction, tourism, early childhood education, electrical and uniformed services. 

This is a great way for students to engage through practical task and get first hand experience while completing standards that go towards NCEA Level 3. 

While students are offsite Monday - Tuesday they will have set timetable from Wednesday - Friday that is covered in the attached PowerPoint. 

There are still spaces available so if you are interested and committed come and see us.
